teevee wackiness the interweb and its mysteries that's certainly something
Some Chinese bootlegger seems to be confused (what else is new?). Or, maybe I never realized what a saw-like ending Battlestar—that good-hearted tween comedy—actually has. I *did* feel a bit like a hacksaw had been taken to my jugular at its finale, but not enough to confuse Galactica with…the Enterprise? Oh, China.

She looks so upset! Why are you so upset, Natalie Portman? You are where I wanted to be when I was ages 6 through 9! Blame Brandon Bird who painted you in such a predicament. He has similarly painted such follies as Seinfeld wielding nunchuks, Christopher Walken tinkering on a robot in his garage and Spiderman and J. Jonah Jameson having a pillow fight. (I still have my Casey Jones action figure, whose very 1980s News Action Camera secretly conceals a gun. A gun! What’s a gun gonna do against Rocksteady? I ask you!)

  • Scene--The Cloudherders stand on a corner, 10.45pm.
  • A CAR pulls up, filled with too many drunken, shrieking girls. Some are in costume, and inexplicably, some are in blackface.
  • A girl (to Nick): OH MY GOD, YOU LOOK JUST LIKE TOM CRUISE!
  • Various, assorted girls, each shriller than the next: Oh my god, he does!! Is he? Are you Tom Cruise?! Can I have your autograph? Oh my god!
  • (As we cross the street in front of them): I LOOOOOOVE YOU!!!
  • Note of interest--Nick does not look like Tom Cruise. Not even a little.
